About Tanzania

Tanzania:

Location: Tanzania is a country located in East Africa, bordered by Kenya and Uganda to the north, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west, Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique to the south, and the Indian Ocean to the east.

Capital: Dodoma (though Dar es Salaam is the largest city and the former capital).

Population: As of my last  update in January 2022, Tanzania had a population of around 61 million people.

Official Languages: Swahili and English.

Government: Tanzania is a unitary presidential republic, and its political system is characterized by a dominant-party system.

Economy: Tanzania’s economy is primarily based on agriculture, which accounts for a significant portion of the GDP. The country is rich in natural resources, including minerals, and tourism is also an important industry. The port city of Dar es Salaam serves as a major economic hub.

Culture: Tanzania has a diverse cultural heritage with over 120 ethnic groups. Swahili is a unifying language, and the country is known for its vibrant music, dance, and traditional art.
